Paula Miller Maxfield


Paula is a strategic communications expert with 20 years of agency experience executing high-impact, results-driven, integrated public relations campaigns. Career badges of honor include a company launch in Times Square, press and analyst tours on both coasts, a press conference at the beach, more trade shows than she can count and special event promotion that was once labeled “excessive publicity.” No matter the challenge, Paula leverages her skills to maximize visibility for each client’s unique goals.

Jennifer Murray

Jennifer is an award-winning writer, editor and multimedia journalist. A communications pro with more than a decade of experience crafting stories and managing content distribution in both online and traditional formats, Jennifer keeps her finger on the pulse of emerging communication channels. Jennifer also delivers as a stellar event planner, known for her work on the Santa Cruz Triathlon and Mole & Mariachi Festival.

Jill Stone
Media & Engagement Director


Jill brings more than 15 years of marketing experience with her to Miller Maxfield Inc. Her dynamic background includes expertise in the areas of social media strategy, public relations, as well as event production and management. Prior to joining Miller Maxfield, Jill held the position of marketing communications manager at national retailer – West Marine – where she managed the company’s internal and external communications efforts. What’s most notable about Jill is the enthusiasm and energy she brings to any project, great or small. In her free time, you’ll find her at Rotary Club meetings, running in local race events and exploring her favorite parks.

Victoria Yuen-Ruan
Creative Services Manager


Armed with strong design fundamentals and a background in illustration, Victoria’s artistic sensibilities bring a fresh and energetic perspective to her modern design. Her background traverses both the agency and startup worlds where she has managed team projects, helped expand upon fledgling brands, and developed public-facing collateral. In addition to her brand marketing experience, Victoria has also developed her collaborative spirit forging relationships with small businesses as a freelance designer. Victoria’s passions for self-care, social change, and of course, food, inspire her work.

Tiffany Martinez
Community Engagement Manager


Tiffany brings to client service a penchant for editing and public speaking, combined with a high level of organization, attention to detail, professionalism and tenacity. In her role, Tiffany is responsible for executing community initiatives and marketing plans for our clients. Prior to Miller Maxfield, Tiffany served as the branding and communications associate for YMCA of Monterey County. In that role, Tiffany lead the planning and execution of several community awareness campaigns including Stand Against Racism, Human Trafficking Awareness and the MC Gives fundraising campaign. In her free time, Tiffany can often be found either drinking too much coffee or watching Gilmore Girls. 

Alexandra Baker
Community Engagement Manager


Alexandra approaches her work at Miller Maxfield with a passion to serve the community and enthusiasm to share clients' stories. In her role, she is responsible for creating engaging content and executing campaigns that reach unique audiences. Alexandra’s background includes experience with social media marketing, public relations, fundraising and event management. Previously, she worked in fundraising and development for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Cruz County and explored a career in the local wine industry. A Santa Cruz native, Alexandra can be found spending time with family, taking bike rides along local trails and enjoying girls’ nights at the beach. 

Georgann Scally
Special Projects


Georgann leverages years of experience as an executive at Visa International to deliver essential project coordination, finance administration, account logistics and strategic planning for Miller Maxfield. Georgann is a longtime resident of Santa Cruz County, having started her career at County Bank & Trust. In her spare time, Georgann invests significant volunteer time into protecting our local parks and beaches, and enjoys camping with her husband and Stanley, their cat.

Jill Nelson
Graphic Designer


For more than 20 years Jill has used her graphic design talents to help clients tell their stories. Her design work is driven by a passion to help our clients succeed – informing, inspiring and captivating audiences throughout the community. Jill’s expertise includes brand identity development, print collateral and digital design. Her clear minimalist designs are crisp, easy to digest and have become a trademark of her aesthetic. When not hard at work, Jill enjoys designing stationery, playing frisbee with her dog Ollie and baking sweet treats.

Nina Rogers
Graphic Designer


Nina has over ten years of design experience working with large international brands as well as small businesses in Europe and the United States. Moving to the U.S. from Austria in 2007, she brings a unique design perspective and a European flair. Her expertise includes logos and branding, print and packaging design, and responsive web design. She is a strong believer in the importance of a healthy diet and lifestyle, and enjoys Ayurvedic cooking and long hikes with her dog Maya.

Tracy Smith
Graphic Designer


Tracy is a visual and strategic communications pro who thrives on crafting high level creative. Her career took off while working on the Patagonia Clothing Catalog, which gave Tracy a deep appreciation for how the art of story telling and visuals work together. Tracy believes that ethos, combined with an environmental message, provides a recipe that generates community optimism and action. A self-professed “farmer’s market nerd” and visual junkie, you might see her with her nose in a new cookbook full of beautiful images or busy shooting some creative images of her own.
